The Fertrell Tree And Shrub Program

Early Spring: Rake back mulch, spread Fertrell Holly Care 4-6-4 1 lb.per inch diameter of stem to drip line. If weeds are present in bed, add Fertrell WeedBan 20 lbs.per 1000 sq.ft.
Replace old mulch, water in with Fertrell Liquid #3 1.25 oz per gal. Add a layer of new softwood bark mulch (pine, hemlock,etc. ) for a total of about 3 inches(keep back from stem/trunk).

Early Fall: Same as early spring (no WeedBan)

Late Fall: Apply Fertrell Soil Mineralizer 10 lbs. per 1000 sq.ft.

New Plantings:
Prepare planting hole, add 1/3 high quality compost to the original soil, mix well, plant the shrub/tree at the proper depth, allowing for the mulch layer. After back filling, water in with Fertrell Liquid #3 1.25 oz per gal. After planting, top dress soil with Fertrell Holly Care 4-6-4 1 lb. per inch diameter of stem. Add softwood bark mulch (pine, hemlock,etc.) for a total of about 3 inches (keep back from stem/trunk).

A soil test is recommended if If soils are of unknown quality or have not been tested recently, a soil test is highly recommended for a large planting. Contact your Fertrell representative or the main office for a soil test kit.
