Lock It In!
By Seth J. Epler
It’s a rainy morning here in Pennsylvania, the week before Christmas. And it is hard to believe the new year is upon us once again. It sure does seem to go by faster each year. Which really means that springtime will be here before we know it.
As the morning showers rain, the importance of weather and farming comes to mind. I think of how often it can be a battle. Whether it be bailing hay at 10:00 pm to fight a thunderstorm or waiting for a shift in it just to be able to get in the fields, we all know timing and weather are just huge factors.
I am aware of the large number of things one needs to accomplish on any homestead or farm, on any given day. And we certainly cannot predict the weather. However, we can try to be prepared for the ups and downs. And one way to do so, knowing that it can be a game of tight windows, is to have what you need when you need it.
In other words, Lock It In! Get those orders in, and get your fertilizer early, so when that window shows up, you’re ready to go. With so many things to juggle and balance, it is important to hit those windows when they arrive.
If you know what you need, don’t hesitate and lock those orders in! In doing so, you can stay ahead of the game and have one more thing crossed off that big old to do list. We all know that spring is a time of year with a lot going on all at once. Anytime folks can increase their efficiency in their daily operation, it is a positive. And I think preparedness is a huge factor in that.
Check your stockpiles now and take your inventory. And don’t forget to check that medicine cabinet in the barn too! Be sure to know what you need and have it ready for when that time comes. Lock those orders in and stay ahead of the game! And continue to make those homesteads and farms flourish with help from The Fertrell Company- Better Naturally!
